Alex Marenga, da molti anni impiega sia dal vivo che nelle proprie realizzazioni discografiche sistemi di interfacciamento fra la chitarra e il mondo MIDI.
Negli anni 80, prima con il sistema Pitch2CV di Korg MS20 e poi con i sistemi esafonici Roland e Casio, ha iniziato ad esplorare le possibilità elettroniche della chitarra che da sempre impiega come sistema di interfacciamento con i software DAW sul computer e con sintetizzatori e campionatori, sia a finalità compositive che esecutive. 

Nel corso degli anni ha utilizzato vari altri sistemi, sia monofonici che esafonici approdando infine all'ultima generazione di controller MIDI, evoluzione dei primi sistemi Synthaxe, come il rivoluzionario YouRockGuitar di Inspired Instruments, uno dei sistemi più efficienti e adatti a connettere il chitarrista al mondo MIDI.

Nell'utilizzo dal vivo privilegia l'uso di sintetizzatori hardware come il Waldorf Blofeld, Arturia Microbrute o i synth della Novation, con caratteristiche di potenza, versatilità e portatilità. 





Alex Marenga, producer, musician and radio opinion maker, is one of the leaders of the Entropia project and the Entropia Techno Department. Starting from historical experiences with the Italian underground music of the 80’s and 90’s, in 1997 he published the EP “Narcos”, produced by Nature Records. In the last 18 years he produced more than 20 albums and EPs with his project “Amptek”.
Entropia is an eclectic combo founded by Alex Marenga & Dr. Lops in 1996 and produces performances and works in which different fields of possible contaminations and interactions within electronic experimental ambient music and different forms of music and multimedia art are being explored.
In 2014, Ugo Vantini joined Entropia. Ugo is one of the most important drummers in Italy due to his significant experience as a musician, composer and sound engineer. Since the 90’s he is covering an important role in the progressive rock scenario. Now he is the “bit machine” of Entropia.
Entropia as a holistic project focuses on the collaboration between artists of various disciplines, in order to invent and define new schemes for the development of multidimensional shows.
Entropia has recorded soundtracks and original musics for short & feature films, theater & ballet companies and for documentaries.
Over the last ten years Entropia have collaborated with famous artists such as Michael Rosen, John B. Arnold, Maurizio Giammarco, Nicola Alesini, Angelina Yershova, Electric Indigo and many others.
Alex Marenga began experimenting with guitar-synth from the second half of the ‘80s and uses YRG both with Entropia and in his solo projects.

Non si tratta solo di titoli ad effetto né di un paragone propriamente musicale, ma di prendere in esame gli impatti che determinate scelte, incluse certe volte in specifici dischi “epocali” o disseminate attraverso vari lavori, abbiano avuto sui gusti del pubblico, sulle scelte di migliaia di musicisti e sugli stili musicali degli anni successivi, o semplicemente sulla capacità che queste due band, anche inconsapevolmente, hanno avuto di prevedere quali sarebbero stati gli sviluppi della popular music. Si fa sempre più complessa una categorizzazione per generi di una popular music sempre più trasversale e contaminata. C’è ormai una sovrapposizione di strumenti e di stili, si fanno sempre più sbiadite le categorie del 900. Alessandro Alessandroni, death of the whistle The Man Alessandro Alessandroni died on March 26 (2017) at 92 years. Composer, conductor and multi-instrumentalist he will be remembered for his skills as a guitarist and whistler in many famous Italian and international cinema soundtracks Alessandroni began to play various instruments such as guitar, mandolin, piano, flute and sax like a self-taught.  After graduating from the conservatory of Rome he began to work with the “Fonolux” society as member of orchestra for film music. In that period he met Nino Rota who discovers his talent as a whistler. He was nicknamed "whistle" (“fischio”) by director Federico Fellini. Its crisp, clean whistle has been appreciated by many Italian composers of film.  In 1964 Ennio Morricone calls him to make a "fischiatina" (“a little whisper”) for a unknown western movie by Sergio Leone and this song was the theme of the titles of "A Fistful of Dollars".
